The MUDEM Migrant Workers Improvement Project was launched to improve and improve the working and living conditions of refugees, and to provide consultancy services on social, legal and economic issues, especially to those in the textile and apparel industry.
MUDEM's project has a very important role as it is the only center in the region that provides support to refugees in this area. Applicant refugee workers are monitored by MUDEM, ensuring that an effective corrective plan is executed and finalized. The relevant office of MUDEM in Istanbul visits asylum seeker and refugee employees at their workplaces, determines their needs, and ensures that employees can access their basic legal rights. Guiding and assisting these workers in gaining temporary protection status and work permit, improving the working conditions of asylum seekers and enabling them to express themselves freely constitute an indispensable part of recovery plans.
